Picture the scene........
.......Your guests start to arrive for your party and are welcomed by the sight of a pig cooking on a rotating spit and the wonderful aroma of freshly cooked pork. As you relax with your guests the aroma gets stronger .The pork starts to crackle and your hog is nearly ready.
Our chefs switch off the spit and raise the pig into a viewing and carving position for your guests. The crackling is cut off into bite size pieces and the carving of hot pork begins.
Your guests attend for some wonderful succulent pork , traditional pork crackling and all the accompaniments. After we have served everyone, we continue carving as your guests return for the remaining pork........
If you are looking to cater for a large number of people, then a traditional hog roast fits the bill perfectly as it can be served informally or formally as your event dictates. Hog roasts don't have to be limited to the spring and summer months, as long as we're under cover, either in a marquee, under a gazebo or even in a garage they can be served all the year round.
Our complete service includes the cooking and carving of the pig together with bread rolls or french stick with fresh apple sauce, sage and onion stuffing and serviettes.etc.
As we are a full service catering company rather than just a hog roast company, it is important to us that the meat is as succulent as possible and the salads and puddings completely homemade,colourful and tasty. Therefore, we cook the meat to temperature and carve when hot. We do not keep the meat warm in chaffing dishes as this will cause it to dry out. Should you have any vegetarian guests, we can offer a variety of interesting vegetarian options rather than the omnipresent quiche or pizza such as our mushroom,pesto and spinach lasagne,vegetable lasagne or vegetable bean bake which are all delicious.

Prices are dependent upon numbers, location and accompaniments required.
Unlike many caterers, who cook the hogs in their own ovens and then bring the cooked meat to your function just prior to eating . We cook your hog fully on site, enabling the hog roast to be a feature of your event.
Our service is very visual and will enable your guests to sample the full "hog roast experience"; to see the pig cooking on arrival and be welcomed by the wonderful aroma of freshly cooked pork. The pig is carved just prior to eating to ensure the pork is hot and accompanied by delicious pork crackling for your guests.

We are also able to provide traditional Lamb Spit Roasts with mint sauce and salads etc although one lamb will not cater for as many guests as a hog roast.

Please note that to meet all food safety regulations and ensure you have the maximum time to eat the meat after cooking, all our hogs are cooked completely on site. Therefore we will arrive on site some five to six hours prior to eating dependent upon numbers attending.
Note - All our Spit roast machines are CE approved with an up to date gas safety certificate.
If you are catering for numbers above 60 you may wish to consider a hot buffet. Costs will be similar to a Hog roast although you will get
the variety of three dishes with a vegetarian option. You are welcome to choose your dishes from our website and we'll be happy to quote accordingly.
